Turkey is uniquely situated on two continents: Europe and Asia. It is surrounded on three sides by sea and provides a wide variety of mountains and lakes as well as sandy beaches along the coasts. At Turkey's coasts you may enjoy the mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. In the asian part of Turkey it has rather steppe climate with a very hot summer and rather cold winter. Everywhere you go you will find hospitable people in Turkey. The country has a lot of famous historic landmarks: go and visit the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the ancient City of Troy, Ephesus or Pergamon.
