Tbilisi
The old town of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, offers Middle Eastern flair. Marvellous buildings stir the blood of those who love art. The Sioni Cathedral e.g. was built in the 8th century while the Church of Metekhi is dating from the 13th century. Magnificent buildings from the 19th century line the streets of the Garetubani quarter. In addition, Tbilisi is famous for its hot sulphur sources.
