Sofia
As everyone knows, Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria. Furthermore Sofia is rich in history. Latest digs have revealed a Neolithic settlement in the centre of Sofia. These traces date back 8000 years. Sofia was founded by the Thrakians in the 7th century. Bulgaria's period of prosperity between the formation of a state and World War I is responsible for many of Sofia's streets, buildings and parks - in a word the architectural style of the turn of the century.
