The most important sights of Larnaca are the archaeological museum with a collection of finds from the neolithic period to the Roman times, the Pierides museum with a private collection of Cyprian antiquities and the fortress of Larnaca. Not only the city of Larnaca but also the surroundings have to offer a lot: the cloister Stavrovouni (on a 700 m mountain peak) and the famous Angeloktisti church in Kiti with its beautiful Marien-Mosaic.
