Flight to Budapest
Budapest
Budapest consists of three formerly independent towns that were united to the municipality of Budapest in 1873. “Pest” – which covers two thirds of the town area - is located on the flat eastern side of the Danube. On the western hilly side Buda and Óbuda comprise the remaining third of the town. Budapest is famous for the castle mountain with the former royal castle. The Budapest castle quarter and the Danube panorama have been on the books of the UNESCO world cultural heritage since 1987.
