Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain, is a modern pulsating city with an old history. There are monuments of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance periods on the one hand, and outstanding modernist architecture on the other hand. The works of genial Antoní Gaudí are definitely worth to discover, for example Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà (La Pedrera) and Parc Güell or the cathedral La Sagrada Familia. Barcelona visitors shouldn’t miss the lively boulevard Las Ramblas, the Barri Gotic, which contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings or the Museu Picasso, Barcelonas most visited museum.
