Amman is the capital of Jordan. Impressive historical cultural places in the town are the Roman theatre (which is located in one of the mountain slopes cropped with houses) and the citadel hill in the city centre. Amman today is a modern finance metropolis, with only its traditional Arabian bazaar offering a little bit of Middle Eastern atmosphere.
