St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg is the town of splendid palaces and gilded cupolas. Every tourist should walk on the old boulevard of St. Petersburg, the Nevskij-Prospect, which, with its many bridges, leads across the channels of the town. Visitors interested in culture should also have a look at the Bartolomeo Rastrelli (Smolnyi cloister) or the Carlo Rossi (Russian museum). St. Petersburg is rich in important places, like e.g. the architecturally imposing Alexander Place.
