Burgas
The bay of Burgas is part of the Black Sea and only 80 kilometres away from the Turkish border. The city is pretty young with many parks and plenty of space. One of the nicest parks may be The Maritime Park, facing the coast and therefore is a lovely place for strolling. The main pedestrian zone goes from the harbour in the South straight to the Troikata Square in the city centre. Along this way you can discover many churches, some historic buildings and also a few modern little skyscrapers. Burgas is not like a world city but it has a special character and it's a fantastic place to start a trip around the Black Sea or to the Strandsha mountain range of Bulgaria. The scenery is impressive and only a few villages are scattered in this area.
